AARP Smart Driver Safety Course

Wednesday, May 1st | 9:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. | The 407 Rec Center

Instructor: Dr. Judy Converso, AARP District Coordinator
Cost: $20 for AARP members, $25 for non-members. Cash/Check ONLY.

The class will start promptly on the hour! Doors open 15 minutes early. Be ready to become a smarter, safer driver on the road! Sign up to:

  • - Learn how aging, medications, alcohol, and other health-related issues affect driving ability, and ways to adjust to allow for these changes.

AARP Smart Driver Technologies Seminar

This workshop covers important life-saving vehicle safety technology for mature drivers that are in the market for a new car or who have recently purchased a new vehicle (within past 5-7 years). Weekly Activities


Join us every Tuesday for a fun-filled afternoon of bowling, meeting new people, getting exercise, and sharing laughter. Our laid-back group is not a league; there are no obligations, penalties, competition, or teams. You're welcome to come once or on a weekly basis, and we encourage bowlers of all skill levels to join us! Whether you score an 85 or a 185, you'll feel right at home. Registration is not required.

Chair Yoga - 2024 Spring REGISTER

Chair yoga is great for those with limited mobility, vertigo, or those who have a sedentary lifestyle. Chair Yoga allows the yoga instructor to adapt postures making it accessible to everyone. A chair practice incorporates all of the tools of a regular yoga class such as deep breathing, postures and relaxation. The student receives the same benefits as a mat class without the difficulty of getting on the floor.

Try Chair Yoga to:

  • Improve strength
  • Increase flexibility and range of motion
  • Improve circulation and blood pressure
  • Better and deepen breathing

Wonders of Weatherford - 2024 Spring REGISTER

Embark on a captivating day trip through Weatherford, a lively town just west of Fort Worth, brimming with diverse attractions and rich history. Our itinerary includes Chandor Gardens, Museum of the Americas, and the Doss Heritage Center. As we explore, we'll discover the town's fascinating past, highlighted by renowned landmarks like the Pythian Home for Children and the historic Courthouse. Guided by local historian Byron, we'll unravel the stories behind Weatherford's Victorian homes, Greenwood Cemetery, and the legacy of Mary Martin. Join us for a day of exploration and enlightenment in the charming town that shaped a Broadway legend.

We are leaving from Prosper Town Hall at 7:30 a.m. Arrival back will be approximately 7:00 p.m. Please arrive early with a signed waiver, sent the week before departure.
