Prosper offers a wide variety of programs created especially for Active Adults ages 55 and better. Enjoy weekly board and card games, Bingo, bowling, creative workshops, fitness classes, and our monthly Lecture Series, all featuring top-notch instruction and opportunities for wellness, connection, and fun. Need a little help? Scholarships are available for financial assistance and the Heroes and Helpers Program offers special discounts for military members, veterans, first responders, and Prosper ISD employees.

Cash Bingo

Mondays | 1 - 2:30p.m. | The 407 Rec Center - 407 E First St, Prosper TX

Every Monday. $10 for 10 games with 3 chances to win per game. We will pay out up to $10 per game, depending on number of players. Any amount leftover will be raffled off. No registration required. Daubers are provided!


 Bowling

Tuesdays | 1 p.m. | Strikz Entertainment - 8789 Lebanon Rd, Frisco, TX 75034

Join us every Tuesday for a fun-filled afternoon of bowling, meeting new people, getting exercise, and sharing laughter. Our laid-back group is not a league; there are no obligations, penalties, competition, or teams. You're welcome to come once or on a weekly basis, and we encourage bowlers of all skill levels to join us! Whether you score an 85 or a 185, you'll feel right at home. Registration is not required.

$13 per week due at the door. This covers three games and shoes. You only pay for the weeks you play. For questions about bowling, please contact Barbara Cottone at bcottone@prospertx.gov.

Dominoes

Winter Chair Yoga REGISTER

Chair yoga is great for those with limited mobility, vertigo, or those who have a sedentary lifestyle. Chair Yoga allows the yoga instructor to adapt postures making it accessible to everyone. A chair practice incorporates all of the tools of a regular yoga class such as deep breathing, postures and relaxation. The student receives the same benefits as a mat class without the difficulty of getting on the floor.

Chair Yoga Benefits:

  • Reduce stress and anxiety
  • Improve strength
  • Increase flexibility and range of motion
  • Improve circulation and blood pressure

Finish with core training and stretching for a complete workout!

Transparent Watercolor Painting - 2026 Spring REGISTER
Enjoy a relaxing and creative watercolor experience! Each participant will be guided step-by-step as we paint a simple, beautiful scene together. Along the way, you’ll learn about basic design elements and how to use watercolor tools to make your painting shine — no experience needed!

Time of each class will be at 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.

Music for Wellness - 2026 Spring REGISTER

Join the Music for Wellness group to discover how singing, playing instruments, and moving to music can enhance your daily life. Sessions focus on fun music activities that stimulate the mind, body, and spirit in an encouraging environment. Through music, participants will engage in physical activity, boost mood, and manage stress while building meaningful social connections with friends.


March 5 – Physical Wellness


Get energized with music focused on helping you feel your best. This interactive session pairs lively tunes like Marching in MacNamara's Band with fun activities including singing food-related songs and movement to music. Participants will enjoy learning practical nutrition facts while celebrating joyful ways to stay active and well.


April 16 – Intellectual Wellness 


Stimulate the mind with a delightful collection of rainy-day favorites, including April Showers. This program uses music to spark memory, discussion, and imagination while exploring how weather-inspired songs reflect mood and creativity. A relaxing yet engaging musical experience perfect for thoughtful listening and conversation.


April 30 - Vocational Wellness 

Step into the world of social dance with music inspired by Arthur Murray, the pioneer of ballroom dancing. Participants will explore why people dance, learn about different dance styles, and try simple dance movements set to classic rhythms. This uplifting session celebrates purpose, connection, and lifelong learning through music and movement.

May 6 - Social Wellness


Celebrate culture and history through music as we explore Cinco de Mayo. Enjoy traditional Spanish songs while learning how music reflects heritage, resilience, and national pride. This engaging program blends learning, singing, and movement for a meaningful cultural experience.
