May: Stroke Awareness (Brunch & Learn)

Learning about strokes and understanding what causes them can help you possibly avoid having one. Learn about the signs, symptoms, and prevalence of stroke and find out about amazing technologies that help stroke survivors recover and regain health and independence. Presentation given by Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Prosper.

Cash Bingo

Mondays | 1:00 p.m. The 407 Rec Center - 407 E First St, Prosper, TX

Every Monday. $10 for 10 games with 3 chances to win per game. We will pay out up to $10 per game, depending on amount of players. Any amount leftover will be raffled off. No registration required. Daubers are provided!


Bowling

Tuesdays | 1:00 p.m. | Strikz Entertainment - 8789 Lebanon Rd, Frisco, TX 75034

Join us every Tuesday for a fun-filled afternoon of bowling, meeting new people, getting exercise, and sharing laughter. Our laid-back group is not a league; there are no obligations, penalties, competition, or teams. You're welcome to come once or on a weekly basis, and we encourage bowlers of all skill levels to join us! Whether you score an 85 or a 185, you'll feel right at home. Registration is not required.

$12 per week due at the door. This covers three games and shoes. You only pay for the weeks you play.

Dominoes

Chair Yoga - 2025 Spring REGISTER

Chair yoga is great for those with limited mobility, vertigo, or those who have a sedentary lifestyle. Chair Yoga allows the yoga instructor to adapt postures making it accessible to everyone. A chair practice incorporates all of the tools of a regular yoga class such as deep breathing, postures and relaxation. The student receives the same benefits as a mat class without the difficulty of getting on the floor.

Chair Yoga Benefits:

  • Reduce stress and anxiety

  • Increase flexibility and range of motion
  • Improve circulation and blood pressure
  • Better and deepen breathing

Texas A&M AgriLife - 2025 Spring REGISTER

Cooking Well for Diabetes

Participants will learn essential skills to plan and prepare balanced meals, from identifying carbohydrate-rich foods and managing portions to reading nutrition labels. The course also provides meal planning tips using the Plate Method and includes exclusive recipes from the Dinner Tonight program, helping participants make healthier, diabetes-friendly choices. This is a 4-class series and costs $35 per participant for all 4 weeks. All cooking materials and ingredients are included in class fee. You do not have to have diabetes to attend

Watercolor Painting - 2025 Spring REGISTER

Join us for a fun and relaxing watercolor class where you’ll explore your creativity in a mess-free environment! Guided by nationally award-winning artist, Trish Poupard, you’ll work on an engaging subject while improving your watercolor techniques. Whether you’re a beginner or experienced artist, Trish’s expert instruction will ensure you have a great time and leave with new skills and inspiration.

Class projects will be a smaller version of the below painting images. Individual classes are $35 and $7 supply fee. Sign up for all of Spring for $90 and $21 supply fee ($15 discount!)

Supply kit includes: paint on mixing palette, watercolor paper, transfer paper, pencil, paint brush, water container. Students do not need to bring anything. There will be no mess, no need to wear any special clothing.

Watercolor Painting - 2025 Summer REGISTER

Students will be lead by award winning watercolor artist Trish Poupard as she demonstrates her techniques to complete one painting per month over 4 classes. Subjects will be chosen by instructor each month with assistance from previous students.

No previous experience is necessary and no drawing or painting skills are needed as Trish will teach students all her skills for each painting. Whether you’re a beginner or experienced artist, Trish’s expert instruction will ensure you have a great time and leave with new skills and inspiration.

If a parent would like to accompany their teen, they must also sign up and attend class (approval on case by case may be granted). Please email programs@prospertx.gov to get into the program if you are under 18.
